What is MMTQ’s Deen Dialogue For Brothers?
A welcoming monthly gathering where brothers can explore important Islamic and contemporary issues in an open and respectful setting. Each session will consider a different topic in light of the Quran, Sunnah and Islamic teachings.
Brothers will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their thoughts, meet others and develop a clearer understanding of how Islam guides us through the challenges of modern life.
Course Content
Topics of Discussion
Amongst other topics, we discuss:
• Staying firm upon Islam in modern society
• Social media and online influences
• Marriage, relationships and family life
• Mental health and spiritual wellbeing
• Islamic masculinity and responsibility
• Halal earnings, interest and managing money
• Dealing with doubts and difficult questions
• Friendships, peer pressure and good company
• Current affairs and the Muslim response
• Technology, artificial intelligence and Islamic ethics
Brothers are welcome to suggest their own topics to add to the debate too
Learning Outcomes
By attending these sessions, brothers will:
• Develop a better understanding of contemporary issues from an Islamic perspective
• Learn how the Quran and Sunnah guide our everyday decisions
• Feel more confident asking and discussing important questions
• Strengthen their Islamic identity and connection with the faith
• Build positive friendships within a welcoming community of brothers
