Quran Tafsir Completion Ceremony
For those who have studied Quran tafsir, our connection with the Quran can be split into two phases: ‘Life before I studied tafsir’ and ‘Life after I studied tafsir’. Understanding not just the translation, but also the wisdom of the verse, the rhetoric, the depth of language, the historical context, the deeper messages and moral and spiritual lessons of each verse change the whole experience of recitation.
Now, the background to the verse in all it’s richness comes to the forefront of the mind and the beauty and majesty of each verse is multiplied many times over.
Our Jalalayn Class of 2024, began studying the tasfir during the covid lockdown and therefore, they took longer than planned to complete their tafsir. However, it meant they had more time to absorb the messages of the Quran and complete the entire tafsir with additional detail.
We congratulate them on this achievement and this invaluable gift from Allah and pray that their love, attachment and commitment to the Quran continues to increase until the Quran becomes an interceder for them in the afterlife.
