Ever finished a book and felt an urge to talk it out? Or wanted an opinion on what to add to your booklist? Or wanted someone else to read it first before you commit to it yourself? Well, look no further- we have the perfect little gang for that!
Book clubs are a great way to motivate yourself to keep up the beneficial hobby of reading and establish a sense of community with other readers. Chat with people who love the same books as you, or debating about the merits and bloopers of a book.
Make new friends, gain a different perspective and broaden your horizons by joining our book club now. All over a cup of tea and a slice of cake or cookie. Register here:
Each month, we will choose a selection of books from MMTQ library on a particular theme, eg female role models, science in Islam, stories of refugees, action and adventure books, biographies and memoirs, grief and loss, family management, parenting, time management, preparing for the afterlife, stories of love and loss, etc
Each book will be offered with a little intro and each book club member will pick a book from the theme to read over the month. At the next book club session, bring back your book -read or unread- and talk about it with others and compare notes. Then either swap and take another recommended book or move onto the next theme.
